Hi, I'm Andrew! I'm 37, single, and live alone. I stand 6’5 with a slim build. I'm white with dark hair and eyes, clean cut, but often rocking some scruff (I look much younger when clean shaven). I like my joggers at home and work, but you'll usually find me in well fitting jeans, a nice pair of boots and looking good when I leave the house.
I'm kind, curious and outgoing. I make friends easily, and can vibe with almost anyone. I enjoy meeting people and making new connections, so dating is actually fun for me.
I'm a great communicator, listener and love to talk about life. Banter and silliness is very important to me.
I'm happy in a crowd, or alone at home working on a project or chilling on the couch. I love exploring new cities as much as laying on the beach people watching. I've organized a social group in my town and attending local board game meet ups lately, and really enjoying the time spent with others.
I love to cook, my speciality is low and slow BBQ. Think an all day brisket or pulled pork that's been dripping into a delicious tray of baked beans, with some good friends and a cooler of cold drinks on ice. I also sous vide, bake and make bomb stews. Something I want to do more of this year is eat at nicer restaurants and widen my culinary experiences. My favourite cooking shows have me ready to explore what I've been missing.
While I'm not a big drinker, I love a good craft IPA or sour, and the occasional scotch. I used to bartend and make a mojito that will knock your socks off. I'm super intrigued by the rise of mocktails that's happening right now.
I go into the city for a few concerts a year, last year I saw Dierks Bentley and Eric Church, Thomas Rhett and Luke Combs. Yes I'm a big country fan, you'll only have to listen to it in the truck though. I'd love a new concert buddy!
My Goodreads goal is 24 books this year. I've done it before, last year I missed the target though. I enjoy sci-fi (I just finished up Six Wakes by Mur Lafferty), post apocalyptic, self help, and the odd thriller or trashy romance beach read.
Working with my hands makes me happy, and even more so since my career that has me in front of screens all day. I can build Ikea furniture, reno a home, fix my own vehicles, paint, wire, plumb and more.
Something I'm looking for is a new hobby to step up my fitness game. I'm considering kayaking, and enjoy pickleball in the summer. I'd love to start camping again. I run casually when it's nice out. Suggestions welcome!
I'm looking for someone in Markham or a nearby town (I'm actually in Stouffville, but no one ever knows where that is!). Let's chat first, and if we're feeling it, meet up fairly quickly and see if we vibe. Ideally you're someone fun to hang out with regularly, chat with during the day, that I can actually connect with.
DM me with the last place you travelled or concert you went to, and why you loved it. Talk soon!
