I've used this multiple times and it works to help with any anxiety about whether the person you are speaking is truly who they are.
Verify them!!!
Ask for a photo of a piece of paper with their reddit username, today's date, the current time and if possible of their face whilst they're holding the paper.
It has helped me immensely weed out the trash 😆
