Boardies, so I'm thinking I'll need some come the warming of the coasts surf and my love of swimming. I head out on a foodie inspired road trip to grab a pair from a local shopping center I discovered west of Syd.

Walking in I see some on a mannequin out front but no pairs underneath. I see no one at the desk but a girl busying herself folding shirts on a lower shelf. I approached her and asked where the shorts were on the model out front.

She pops her head up, eyes dark brown with short hair and with a large welcoming smile responds with "oh I'll grab you some, what size are you hmm" and then proceeds to dart off towards the rear shelves.

OK I thought I guess that's the deal in this shop and browse aimlessly. She returns a minute later (her name still escapes me) and states "here, these should look good on you" then points me to the change room.

Now unbeknownst to me the style was slim cut and a rather firmer fit than I'd seen on the model. A moment's hmmm - are they supposed to look like this I thought, should I ask her to return a different size, no I can't she's off again.. or walkout wearing them then ask…?
