Hi Sydneysiders Redditor!
I hope you are enjoying a little bit of sunshine that decided to grace us with its presence this weekend.
I am hoping to expand my social circle as I currently have none. I moved to Sydney few years ago from SE Asia. Right now I am just trying to figure out who I am, what I like and all of those crap. It is an uphill battle but hey, everyone's gone through this at least once in their life (or maybe their whole life), so I here I am trying to enjoy every single moment of it (sadly online for the time being, ha!). I know I know, one of the way to make friends is through meetup or hobbies, but, (this can be just my excuse not to try), I realised that I am better with one-on-one conversation than group. When it comes to group, I tend to let other people talk and I will just sit there listening and be awkward with myself.
Holiday season can be deadly for some people (by some people I mean me) because you tend to think more about what are you going to do during Christmas break or what are you doing with your life being alone and all. Especially when you have no friends or family nearby.
I am not into exercise, but I do enjoy yoga and is planning to join Karate class because pandemic make me ruminating about life even more. I spend my day to day by living in OzBargain, manhwa and my cats.
I am unsure if anyone is interested but I love food and I would love to try restaurants or cafe around Sydney. If you live nearby, I am more than happy to go for a walk too since I read that walking is good for your mental health. I love musical, Disney and animals, so if you want to see musical, visit zoos or museum or Wonderdome (A 360 extra sensory experience of art, film and music) that is currently happening until January 30, let's go! As you can tell, I am on the child side of an adult (imagine Grogu).
We can always talk online first and see if we get along, I am happy to chat over Discord or Reddit, but my point is, I am trying to do activities together (on the friendship side).
Cheerio!
