Tldr 26yo male Aussie gym junkie is looking to make platonic friends and have a solid laugh.

Hi, Around 4 years ago I was a lonely bloke getting through life one drunken night after another hoping that by forcing myself to go out id make some friends and wouldn't feel so empty. I got to the point where I was so lonely I bit the bullet and made a post. I was lucky enough to meet an amazing women and 4 years later am still with her. However it came with a cost being with her meant moving which also meant leaving all my high school mates behind and starting fresh. This hasn't bothered me as my partner is my best friend and so I didn't really feel it. Recently however she has started a new job with very socially active people whom she is often going out with after work hours. I'm happy for her however I now realise how isolated I have become. It feels weird saying this but it also made me realise how alone I'd be if something happened between us. I'm finding this issue is feeding on itself and is starting to effect me, my mood is low I feel heavy and I'm dropping weight fast (if your a strength athlete you'll understand how much that sucks) So this is my hail Mary to try and see if reddit can help me once again.

A bit about myself. I'm a 26 year old guy. Consider myself to be a blokey bloke whom enjoys cars action movies loud music and a solid beer. I have a strong connection to the gym in particular powerlifting and consider myself to be quite decent at it. I currently work at a local supermarket doing nightshifts however I will be starting a mental health nursing job later in the new year. If I'm not at the gym I usually spend my free time with my partner , gaming or just going on YouTube adventures.

I'm hoping to connect with some people whom share my passions. Or people who have strong passions of their own and can help expand my horizons. Overall I just want to have decent conversations and maybe even a laugh with some people. A pic of you will be returned with one of me
