Hey all. I'm a guy in my early 30s (if that matters at all) looking to do some hikes around Sydney with others. I've recently been trying to get into harder walkers but never felt all that safe doing them solo. In addition to regular day hikes, I also like night hikes and overnight hikes. I recently did an overnight hike to Acacia Flat (and probably took some permanent hearing damage to the cicadas :)).
I don't mind if you don't have that much experience but I think it's important for you to be realistic about your own fitness less. I'm happy to do meetups in person before we do any walks for safety. Either that or we can start with one of the super crowded coastal walks.
Data privacy is a pretty big deal to me; hence my name. I would like to communicate over Signal as I think it's a good choice when meeting people for the first time. If enough people show interest, maybe we can even start a group there. DM me with your Signal details or I'll share mine!
