I know this is Reddit so this probably isn't the best place for what I'm looking for, but assuming there are people who are also lonely like me, I thought I'd give it a shot.

I live in the Parramatta area and I am looking for people who are after genuine friendship (like, regular dinners kind of friendship). I don't have any friends in the area and I feel very isolated. I'd like to get to know people that I can be friends with, and if we can build up a relationship of genuine trust, I'd like to invite you to my home for dinner (provided you reciprocate - reciprocity is important to me. As we say in Chinese, 有来无往非礼也). Ideally, I'd love to have friends/neighbours close to me that I can visit regularly, because this is a normal part of the human experience that is sadly missing in my life at the moment.

I don't dress up or wear makeup and I have short hair because convenience matters to me more than looks (I had long hair for most of my life but got sick of the maintenance so cut it off, which has been a huge time-saver). I do not look feminine so don't get your hopes up. I wouldn't say I'm butch, I am probably kind of gender neutral in the way I look and dress.

A bit about me: I am Chinese-Australian, grew up in Australia, bilingual in English and Chinese. I am very interested in Chinese culture and am trying to learn more. I have a variety of interests including science, history, geography and general knowledge. I am a sucker for teen dramas especially if there is a gay male couple (any women here who get me?). I regularly attend Chinese cultural events and I like going for walks/bushwalking. Currently studying after deciding to change careers.
