Hey good people of Reddit, here's an unusual request. I'm thinking of organising a silent disco in a public place. I like dancing and it always cheers me up when I'm down, but I don't have anyone to dance with, so I just dance alone at home. I thought, why not switch it up and do something different!
The idea is we go to a public place (eg. a park) and we all bring our phones and headphones/earphones. You'll need to download an Internet radio app. We pick a mutually agreeable radio station and we all tune into the same radio station (so we're listening to the same music) and we DANCE! (You can listen to different music but you'd be dancing out of step with everyone else.) This can be a BYO picnic as well. Bring your own blanket, snacks and drinks. Let's make it a party. Who's interested?
I live near Parramatta Park so I thought that would be a good location but I'm open to other suggestions. If it's successful, I want to make this a regular event as well, eg. once a month, and create a Facebook group so more people can join.
