I'm tired, y'all. It seems like trying to date/meet people at all these days is this endless string of lies and manipulation. And I don't want any of that. All I want is for us to see if we're right for each other, and move along if we're not. Please don't message me if you can't handle just being direct, up front, and honest. I won't settle for anything less, and it will save us both time and energy.
Me: 40, long-term separated and divorcing, child free, kind, smart, fat and sexy, unpretentious, stoner, depressed/anxious but actively working on mental health, sociologist, nerd (all the classics, except anime/comics), into intimacy of all kinds and mutual support, easy to talk to, overshares, and I know what I want.
You: 30-45 (pretty firm), unattached, honest and not afraid to say what you think, thoughtful and able to hold a conversation, funny, have respect for me as a person and care about me (obviously this one grows over time), kind and caring to others in general.
I'm attracted to a wide range of appearances, but appearance is a factor in attraction, it's just very personal. I am often particularly attracted to skinny, tall dorks, but that's far from a hard rule. You may think you're not sexy at all, and could be (appearance-wise at least) my dream person. I'm open to people of all races, genders, body types, etc. The "click" is what's important.
I've had a rough morning, and would just really like to chat on text/voice with someone who's gonna just be real with me. Hopefully that person is you. :-)
I will answer any reasonable reply. I know messaging can seem like sending things into a black hole at times, but I will read them all and reply if you try. **edit** I want to really get a chance to know people, so it may take a while to respond, but I will.** I'm not looking for a novel, but maybe tell me what you're tired of in looking for a partner, or what you hope for, or why you're here. Just a few sentences instead of "what's up."
