Here I am, staring at the blank screen that is about to be my latest r4rSeattle post. How thrilling!

I'm a 40 year old cis woman. I live about an hour north of Seattle (think Everett but with extra steps.) I love cats and have eighteen of them. My main creative outlets are writing, creating a distinct personal style through my clothing and cultivating an interesting and semi-colorful aesthetic in my home. I'm a mom with joint custody and am grateful that I am allowed the privilege of being a parent (although I'm not able to have any more biological kids.)

I go hard on my interests and passions, to the point where about once a week someone tells me "Oh, I saw ______ the other day and thought of you!" (with ______ being whatever random but specific thing I'm obsessed with.) When I was younger people would tell me that I reminded them of "500 Days of Summer," which I took as a huge compliment (although I have brown eyes and not blue eyes and I think this reference was more about my overall vibe than the details of my appearance.)

Physically I'm of average height and "curvy." The other day I told a friend that I consider myself "a 6 in Seattle but a small town 8." (He countered to say that I am Seattle 7 and a small town 9 - so I'll take that, too.) I have HSV-2, which has turned out to not be a very big deal for me, but if it is for you, now is your time to nope out.

I've been separated from my husband for around eighteen months. In that time I've really gotten to think about what I want in life and subsequently, what I want in my relationships. I have two wonderful FWBs that I've been seeing consistently for the past several months. Those relationships have been great, however, I unfortunately do not get to see either of them as often as I would like, thus, this post.

I am seeking a relationship that is slightly beyond a FWB situation. Though I don't seek marriage or cohabitation, I would like someone who I can see a couple of times a week that I could build a long-term partnership with. Though I'm not looking for monogamy, I am looking for prioritization. At this time I am not interested in connecting with people who are married/already engaged in a primary partnership - sorry!

I'm looking for someone who lives within thirty miles of Everett who is communicative, left-leaning, understands the importance of equity in relation to mental/emotional/household labor and isn't allergic to cats. (though if you have a mild allergy and can pop a Zyrtec and be okay - let's talk.)

I prefer to chat for a bit before meeting up - part of this is a test to see how long your attention span is, just FYI.

Note: I have two cats, not eighteen - I just like to see if people read to the end.
