I have spent about a year doing the Reddit dating thing. It's rare that I meet someone I hit it off with, but when I do, it's really special and fulfilling.

I'd like to add another person to my "fufilling relationship" roster. Maybe it's you? (I mean, I doubt it, since most of the interactions that I have on here are low-effort and inconsistent with a side of male entitlement but...it's worth a shot, right?)

Going to attempt to make this one short and sweet. I say attempt, because brevity is not my strong point, but here goes...

Ideal Situation (recently updated as things have changed):

Since ending my marriage in the past couple of years I've been working to completely re-evaluate my view on romantic relationships and how they integrate into my life.

I would love to meet someone that I can see once a week or so. I've been separated for long enough now that I'm finding myself missing some parts of partnership and am looking for something slightly more serious (more than casual but less than marriage/cohabitation.)

Basically I would love to have a dependable "plus one" where there is mutual prioritization. It would be nice if that someone could (eventually) meet my friends and family. Monogamy is not required unless we are both into it. At this time I do not wish to date people who already have a primary partner - sorry!

I am currently dating two people, neither of which I get to see often enough due to scheduling. They're both wonderful, but I'm finding myself wanting a bit more.

I'm looking to develop a friendship via chat first. I do not often meet up with people in person unless I've chatted with them consistently for a week or so. If you're looking to meet up with someone right away then I am likely not a good match for you.

If we get to the in-person part, I prefer a first meeting in public (in the case that you're a murderer I want to ensure that I don't look like a total tool on my Dateline episode) and then go from there. I would like to be able to hang out 2-4 times per month if we feel that we're compatible.

I live about hour north of Seattle (sometimes it takes slightly longer due to traffic and other factors- think Everett a couple of extra steps) and can usually hang out on the weekends (Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday.) I am occassionally in the city during the week or on weekends and usually stay on Capitol Hill when I'm there.

I don't mind a bit of distance (~1 hour) as long as their is a commitment to equity in traveling to see each other. (Places within an hour-ish of me include but are not limited to: Seattle, Everett, Lynnwood, Bellevue. Further south than Seattle would be challenging, Snohomish might work depending on how far out there you are.)

Sexy Sexy Safety:
- Condoms are a non-negotiable.
- I have HSV-2 that I'm medicated for/have never given to anyone.

Body Stuff:

• I'm overweight. I carry it well.
  (Every time I write that I get at least one message that is like "you're not fat!" and like...I am AND it's not a bad thing? I don't see being overweight as a character flaw, it just is, and I like to disclose it because some people don't like fat people and I'm trying to weed those people out early on.)

• I am relatively attractive (I'd say at least a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10, but obviously that's subjective) and of average height. I am 40 and I look my age (although in the past few weeks a couple of people have said I look 5-10 years younger and I'll take it!)

Beliefs and Interests:

• I'm a hardcore feminist and left/progressive and not really interested in people who aren't at least somewhat left.
