I know this is an odd place to post this, but I can’t handle dating apps, and where tf does an adult meet someone these days? I order my groceries 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have the standard for my age past relationship woes, have done the hookup thing, and I’ve come to a place that is no longer satisfied by meaningless encounters, nor is it crowded by grief any longer, so it’s feeling empty.

I’d really like to meet someone that I like hanging out with and who likes hanging out with me too. I want to be able to chat, cut up, talk shit, philosophize, etc with this person.. communication is a priority for me. I’d like to share some things in common with them, some things I am into are:

Art, music, writing, literature, philosophy, psychology, psychedelics, sociology, ecology, dogs, nature, cosmology, aliens, apocalyptic DOOM (can’t seem to help it), road trips, etc.. (I’m a serial hobbyist, so there are a lot of random interests) I am a bones deep egalitarian, so if that’s something you struggle with it’s a hard pass for me. I don’t have many. Bigotry of any kind is under that same umbrella, and that includes everything from misogyny to racism to political classism. I’m not into it. I’m never going to be cool with lumping a whole group of people together and putting them into one big box. Even if it’s just a lot of people who have something really stupid in common. And I’ll talk shit about the government all day, but I don’t think that any of it is legit enough to get passionate about politics. I’m voting left right now only because of climate change and a sincere revulsion for the Republican candidate.

Physically, I’m 5’3, chubby, light hair, blue eyes, pretty regular.

I don’t really have a type, I’m attracted to people as individuals, though it’s hard to say what qualities in particular are attracting me. I know that I prefer witty and well read people, just because I like to laugh, and I’d like someone to talk to more than anything, but I don’t think that people who identify as “academics” are the only people out there who have something interesting to say. I want to meet someone who has TIME and is excited to spend some kicking it.

As far as the usual content on this sub, yeah, sex is totally great, I’d love to have a whole lot of it, but that’s secondary to what this post is seeking.
