Hey there!
A few years ago, my partner and I moved from Seattle to Vancouver, and while we love it here, branching out and making friends has been a bit challenging. We both work from home, so we don’t have the usual work-friend dynamic to fall back on. Many of our friends live out of state or have kids, which makes hanging out tricky since we’ve chosen to stay kid-free.
A little about me: I’d describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I enjoy socializing and going on adventures, but sometimes I’m perfectly content just chilling at home. My interests are pretty varied—I love movies, discovering new places to eat, road trips, camping, gaming (both PC and Nintendo Switch), board games (as long as someone is willing to teach me), and playing Pokémon TCG. I've always wanted to learn how to play MTG, too.
In my downtime, you can usually find me drawing or creating art (digital and painting), binge-watching anime or the latest trending shows, nerding out about sports cars, kayaking, spending time with our two mini Aussies, or working on a model-building project.
I’m 420-friendly and a light social drinker—though I often end up as the DD, happily sipping on a frosty Diet Coke. My partner and I used to be really into the rave/EDM scene back in the day and recently started getting back into it.
For some context: I’m Korean-American and grew up in Longview, WA (if you know, you know). Politically, I lean liberal but prefer not to dive into politics unless it’s relevant. That said, ultra-MAGA types might not vibe well with me. 😊 I’m also part of the LGBTQ community and have a dark sense of humor. Fair warning, I can absolutely bore you with random facts about animals or nerdy pop culture.
What I’m looking for: Ideally, we could start by gaming together online and see where it goes from there. I’ve got a membership on Board Game Arena, enjoy playing Destiny 2, and used to dabble in Pokémon Go (never had anyone to join community events with). Lately, I’ve been getting back into Overwatch (even though it tests my patience), and I’m also playing Palworld, Fallout 76, and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. I’ve tried Minecraft but haven’t quite figured it out yet.
If any of this resonates with you, let’s connect! Looking forward to meeting a new friend. 😊
