I’ve been feeling stuck in a situation that I genuinely don’t want to be in, but it’s incredibly challenging to escape. I’m certain that most of you reading this are experiencing similar feelings.
When I was 24, my parents wanted me to get married, so I agreed to an arranged marriage. In India, these are pretty common. We talked for a few weeks before we both said we were okay with it. It was more of a convenience marriage than anything. Both families were happy, and we were happy too, especially since neither of us had ever been in a relationship before. It was a bit challenging to explore that, but it was also a lot of fun.
I’m currently in Seattle, working in tech. I’m also trying to explore some outdoor hobbies. I don’t have any kids or pets, but I’ve fostered a few. I enjoy gaming, climbing, and volunteering at the humane society. I’m definitely not a boring person outside of Reddit. I have a unique taste in music, and I might even share some playlists with you if you’re interested!
So, we’ve been together for a while now, and while we’ve had a great physical connection, we’ve realized that our emotional bond is a bit lacking. We’re totally out of sync emotionally, and that’s affecting our physical relationship too. But hey, I’m not looking to change anything about my situation. I just think talking to someone here makes my daily life a bit easier. I’ve tried talking to people before, but somehow it always ends up dying out. I’m hoping I can reconnect or find new people to chat with.
I’m not expecting anything in particular. I just want to make a friendly connection, with a bit of spice, if you know what I mean. Maybe it’ll lead to something more serious (I’m definitely hoping it does, but I won’t pressure you if you’re not comfortable). If you’re in a similar situation, maybe we can help each other out?
Either way, thanks for reading! I hope to hear from you soon!
