I see people here are looking for other types of relationships mostly, but I hope it's okay that I personally am looking for real true platonic friends. I've been in Portland for a while now, and would like to take a stab at building my own friend circle versus always being in my partners. I'm a black guy from the city so I'll admit I enjoy city things and have limited interest in going into the woods or forest (I will here and there but please keep that in mind), but I DO enjoy rock hounding if I could ever find a good spot.

I love talking about current events but in an informed lighthearted/humorous fashion, and try not to have my head up my ass. Generally I enjoy casual hangouts like drinks, art exhibits, etc. At home I like to listen to music (I'm a big music listener usually), smoke weed, and play around on my PC with games and various friends. Love to chat and joke, and back home was even a fan of shooting the dozens with my friends, but I haven't found anything similar here yet.

I work normal days and hours but honestly I'm open to any and all schedules. I'd just like friends that I can talk, joke, and hangout with who understand me like I understand them. I generally operate on "good faith communication" and prefer people who can be authentic and nuanced rather than disingenuous and broad. I love a friendly debate and being able to disagree or entertain opposing views goes a long way with me.

Other than that I'm open to all types of folks! I appreciate people who have their own things going on, and love even more whenever a friend can share a piece of their life or time with me. I've lived in Texas, Louisiana, Hawaii, and now Oregon, and each place I had the best time, and grew the most with the friends I made there.
