I'm a guy currently staring at a piece of glass in front of me, wondering whether I can conjure up a friendship or a future relationship with the simple dance of my finger across this glass keyboard coupled with the power of the internet. Why am I here? Well Reddit has served me well in the past making friendships and the odd relationship so here I go again. Plus I'm somewhat limited in my mobility after breaking a leg the other month. I wouldn't recommend it. Not that I think anyone would do it by choice…

I'm an early forties guy. My friends would describe me as quirky, loyal, sometimes very smart, sometimes very dumb and always someone who will help another who needs help. Also someone who could talk under wet cement. A bit of a neurospicy nerd. I will cook you a feast for dinner but barely touch my own plate. I will put on Star Trek The Next Generation to fall asleep to. Or not. I don't snore. Much. I think the best things in life are a great meal, great company and a great stretch. Those are a few things. Plus dogs. Always dogs. Cats are cool too.

Physically I am about 170 cm off the ground in bare feet. I have brown eyes, brown hair that's getting a little bit more silver foxy, and what used to be a red beard, but is now getting embarrassingly white and not symmetrically. I think it's time to let that one go for a while. I'm built like a cyclist, and while I do own a bike and Lycra, I'm not a road warrior mamil. Yet. I am in middle age. It might happen soon. I do promise not to get obsessed with aero though. Unless you're into that. That would be a new kink.

What I'm looking for

You. I'm looking for you. Hello! Thanks for getting this far. If you're here then that's half of it. I'm looking for someone who loves a chat. Who doesn't take life too seriously. Someone who is a bit cheeky. Definitely nerdy. Possibly a gamer. No. Definitely has some kind of console or pc. Someone with their own hobbies, passions and interests and has a fire to share them with the people they love. I really don't care about the usual attributes regarding age and physical appearance. And if you like any sci fi series with the word Star in it, please let me know.

What I'm not looking for is anyone into polyamory or non monogamy. Not shaming those folks. All power to you. I've just learned it's not my jam.

What I am offering

A friend to get to know and maybe develop into something more and long term. Someone who can hold their end of a conversation about anything and everything. Someone who will look after you when you're sick or just having a shit day. Someone who will stick cute notes in your bag or pockets to find at later times. Someone to binge tv series with, or games. Someone who will put random rubber ducks in places for you to find. Someone who wants to make you laugh and smile as often as possible. Someone who will be your number one fan at everything you love doing. Someone who will be supportive of you. Someone who will be your Jedi in the streets, and your Sith between the sheets. At the end of the day, you need a great end to the day hey?
