Hi all, here's hoping to find someone before the year ends to do new year eve celebration and start of the new year! Ideally, I'm looking for a long term or even for life if it works out really well, but open to short too. Also, I'd be lying if I don't want some fooling around added to it, but if you don't want it, I will respect it.
As for what I'm looking for (not hard requirement):
- Around my age (around 25-36 years old), female
- Interested in Japan, especially manga/anime (my favorite kind of anime is like Nichijou if that helps) and japanese games, if you know Japanese, maybe you can help improve my Japanese as well!
- Skinship heavy, this is because I can (and like to) be very skinshippy with my partner especially at home. I grew up in a family with a lot of skinship, so it helps me feel comfortable and at ease more quickly
- Likes video gaming or at least don't mind me playing games
- Enjoys light board games (my favorite are splendor and sushi go)
- Enjoys finding and trying new food places (I generally prefer Asian cuisines)
- Playful and a bit more on the initiative - because I'm not good at initiating especially when it involves personal space as I tend to worry about breaching other people's personal space
- Likes to try new things, perhaps we can try something together and discover new hobby/interest?
About me, I'm a 33M Indo-Chinese (I can't speak/read Chinese at all, but I can read/speak broken Japanese!) and am primarily into indie video gaming. I'm also into cooking sometimes when the mood strikes, so I have a decent range of food I can make! Gardening is another side hobby and I recently got into fostering cat from time to time
Personality-wise, I'm a pretty introverted, quiet, and mostly a homebody. Also, fair warning, I'm working on trying to not look too neutral/serious, but unfortunately that seems to be my default face; hopefully that will get better as time goes on.
Usually, I spend my weekend visiting Victoria market, otherwise I'm mostly at home doing a combination of the following things: playing games, browsing internet on phone, cleaning the place, doing something with the garden, look for new DIY project to work on or something that can be improved at home
Other topic of interests is technology (in electricity and recycling), documentary movies (I enjoyed watching A Compassionate Spy and Beyond Utopia), learning Japanese language, and AI image generation but strictly for personal humorous use (I don't condone people stealing other people's art)
A trivia about myself is that I can put my leg above my head. Also, I used to edit manga translation (I can translate a bit too, but I'm also still working on my Japanese language slowly)
Here are some examples of the things I enjoyed:
- Music: Mostly older music like ones made by Michael Jackson, Weird Al, and probably other that I can recognize if I hear them but don't know their name. The more recent one I listen to is Red Vox band, otherwise I listen to some video game soundtracks
- Youtube channels:Â Vinesauce, LGR, Civvie11, Accursed Farms, ManlyBadassHero, Not Just Bikes, Ordinary Sausage, Technology Connection, kurzgesagt
- Games: Too many to list them all, but here are some:Â Touhou, Risk of rain 1 2, Binding of Isaac, Megaman (pretty much all series), Dead Cells, Stardew Valley, Doom, Hades, etc
- I don't really watch TV shows these days but I really LOVE Mythbusters when it aired and is a big part of myself growing up, currently rewatching them sometimes in my spare time! Sometimes I also try to watch some Japanese TV shows too for learning and amusement
- Book: What If by Randall Munroe. I generally don't read book though I do enjoy reading manga if that counts
I can offer the following:
- Cuddling (duh)
- Gaming partner (though no competitive ones please!)
- Someone you can vent to (be it about life, work, etc)
- Homemade Asian cooking
And just to complete things up, here are some of the things I'm not quite into personally, but might be willing to try anyway if insisted to: Driving (especially roadtrip), loud events like rave, drinking (though I'm fine if you are drinking and not forcing me to drink more than my limit)Â
We'll probably start with online chats (can do voice and video when comfortable, I got discord too if you prefer there instead) and then eventually meet up in person, go to some dates, and eventually stay over at each other place from time to time, or even permanently when we're in it for the long haul in life!
My preferred meetup locations are arcades, arcade bar (mostly fortress and bartronica), gallery/museum, market, and generally decent asian restaurants. If you have your own preferred location that makes you feel much more comfortable, I'm happy to go with that as well.
Lastly, while I'm happy to share a picture, I will not do so until I know you a bit better first, so please don't ask for a picture straight away nor be offended by this. If you want, we can meet up early at around Melbourne Central/Flagstaff area (again, you can choose the place if it makes you more comfortable) so we can meet in person
