Hi all!
I am a 35 year old nonbinary game master with over a decade of experience looking for new players to meet regularly for games. I play predominantly 5th Edition D&D and Powered by the Apocalypse systems like Kids on Bikes and Monster of the Week.
Currently, I have ideas for 3-4 games. However, my players are all busy or running games of their own. Some of them may join in, but I would idealy like 2-4 new players.
A bit about me and my play style:
I should include a description of myself per the rules here so I am a fat, nonbinary, blue haired nerd. I dress in a mix of femme and masc styles.
I am afab and encourage women and queer people at my tables. I try to keep these spaces safe and hope you will too. I use safety tools at my table.
I enjoy playing complex emotional stories with fun premises. I like a bit of silliness at my tables but also like people who will really get into the RP side of TTRPG. This includes voices and back story, etc.
I generally host at my house, but this is negotiable. People usually bring some snacks/drinks/supplies for themselves, and I provide some as a host too. I have 2 cats that shed a lot, so if you don't like cats or have allergies, this may not be an ideal play environment for you.
I am happy to take on and teach newbies. I volunteered teaching kids for a time, so I am always happy to help new players. We will probably make a discord server or facebook chat for the game so we can work on characters and stuff and support each other in that.
I am happy to take criticism and hear from people about what worked and what didn't work for them. I like to collaborate to make the game as fun as possible. I will probably set up an anonymous survey for sessions for the first little while so people can give feedback freely and emotionally safely.
Fun is my main goal. I do like to use the rule of cool at times and homebrew things but try to keep that fair and even across players and, as I said, am always happy to hear constructive criticism.
I run fantasy, sci-fi, and urban fantasy games largely with dips into other genres as it feels right.
