So long story short, ex and I split up and now I have no one, and despite having a few friends I can speak to online, I am really missing that physical proximity to someone. Catching up for coffee/beers, going to play mini golf, exploring new places, staying home with movies, too many snacks, doordash, and a bunch of weed; I need to do these things and have no one to do them with.

A little about me: I work from home in IT, live in the western suburbs, have two kids 50/50, listen to primarily metal but my Spotify would confuse anyone. I’m a pretty easy going guy, have a dark sense of humour that I use way too frequently, and am currently in the process of getting back into weight lifting again. I’ve always been the dark, broody, quiet type but I’m trying to force myself to be more outgoing. As mentioned, I have two kids who are awesome little dudes, every other week. Making friends with people with kids would be great, but I am also aware that most other people my age don’t have kids.

I love to (or at least used to and really want to love it again) play games, currently have an Xbox and a PC and would be down for gaming buddies as well - I don’t know what I like because I’ve really played nothing other than a handful of single player games in the past decade.

I would love to find a friend, male or female, in the outer west who can hang out in person. Someone who can come over after work and order dinner, or go for a walk with the dogs (I have two by the way) - I’m not looking for anything romantic but if it happens it happens. Ideally I’m looking for someone between 28 and 33ish - I’m not against younger or older but I want to hang out with people roughly my age.

I don’t really have a way to “organically” meet people as I work from home, don’t have any existing friends, and I don’t drink habitually, and I’ve always struggled with social anxiety so just going to a bar/event/thing and meeting people there alone is terrifying to me lol - I want to do these things with someone though!
