Hello there, I'm looking for alternative and geeky friends in Melbourne. I have existing established friendships and a partner, but not many of my friends would be considered my tribe, and I really miss having more people with similar interests to hang out with (moved here a few years ago), both one-on-one and in groups.
I am an extrovert, but I like hanging out with introverts too, and prefer small group, low key hangs (coffee, board games, watching movies, nature walks, thrifting, markets). I'm interested in really getting to know people deeper and connecting over time, and have no room for drama in my life.
I was a huge anime nerd and played JRPGs throughout my teens and early 20s. More of an Aerith than a Tifa fan. Nowadays I am into sci-fi movies, fantasy series and zen games (eg. Stardew Valley, Strange Horticulture). Am currently listening to the LoTR audiobook and I read through the Chronicles of Narnia series over the holidays.
You are a kind, friendly, open-minded person who is happy to chat online, share opinions and explore ideas on TV shows, music, games, board games, anime, memes, and your day to day experiences. You are not bigoted, racist, homophobic or transphobic, and desire equity / equality. I can offer you the same and promise a safe space and positive attitude.
I will only meet with you once we've been chatting for a while and are satisfied this will be a genuine friendship. I reply quickly when I'm not working or out, but be open to delays when I have things going on in my life. Let's chat!
