Yup. That's my R4R Melbourne post.

I bet you're wondering how it ended up in this situation.

Well, that's a long story. And one that starts with an About Me section...

ABOUT ME: I'm 5'11" and am very much in the "Lanky" build category. I've got long brown hair down to my collar bones, but I keep my face clean shaven. Big "Oh that guy's clearly a musician" vibes to my general style and appearance. Luckily, I am also a musician, so, that works out well! Have a degree, so you know I'm smart, but it's a degree in music industry that I haven't been able to do anything career-wise with, so, y'know, not that smart! :P Oh, also, absolutely consider myself a feminist, LGBTQIA Ally, POC Ally and accessibility advocate.

Interests include D&D, games (both video and tabletop), comics, film and television. The two things I can't shut up about at the moment are Battlebots (The start of WCVII was epic!) and Pokemon (I am enjoying the new game so much I completed the Pokedex in under two weeks).

Not to brag, but I'm trying to impress you, so I'm absolutely gonna brag: I am an amazing cook. I would love to set the bar unreasonably high for your future hook-ups and partners. How about I cook you a fancy meal, you hang out and look hot, we watch something as we eat, and then we see what happens? ;)

I'm DDF and have been on the receiving end of several very important stabbings by medical professionals. I can host, and I live by myself, so don't even worry about roommates. While I'm definitely open to a romantic connection, my primary goal is to make friends and also, potentially, fuck said friends so hard that we forget how terrifying Wizards of the Coast's leaked OGL plans are.

ABOUT YOU: While I definitely love tattooed nerdy girls, if one or more of those things doesn't apply to you, still hit me up! I'm sure we can still have a great time! That includes if "girl" doesn't apply to you; I definite heterosexuality as being attracted to things coded different to my gender, so femme-enbies, you're all welcome!

So, that's the story of my R4R Melbourne post.

I guess you could say, it was just a tale of the stereotypical "Nerd with the personality of a golden retriever" looking for an alternative, kinky, nerd looking to be that blatant internet caricature of "E-Girl and their long haired boyfriend" with.

But, I like to think it was a little bit more than that.

I like to think it was about the friends (with benefits), I made along the way.

And this is where the camera would pan upwards and the credits would start to play. But, y'know this is a reddit post and there is no camera. So if you could just, like imagine a camera panning upwards to a blue sky that's got just enough clouds to be visually interesting and the credits start to roll, gradually transitioning into a traditional black and white credit scroll while The Who plays that would be fantastic.
