I've lived in Dallas for a few years now and I've never been to the DMA or the Nasher or the Perot. I've never been to Dallas Zoo or the Aquarium either. It's my birthday next month, and I haven't really done anything special for my birthday since my 20s, and I thought maybe it'd be nice to go visit one of these places on my birthday (it's on a weekend).
I'm 37 and turning 38. I'm Korean but born and raised here. As I've gotten older, my friends have all gotten married and had kids and moved out of Dallas, and I have no idea how to make new friends anymore. I was with my ex for a long time and after a series of unfortunate events we needed to part ways and I just haven't been interested in dating anyone else since then.
I hate that the first descriptions of myself I can come up with is a list of things I hate: I hate crypto, I hate Cybertrucks, I hate polyester clothing. I am an absolute Luddite. But I love vintage everything and Jane Austen and watching "Mamma Mia" has me listening to ABBA for weeks on end.
This is purely platonic. I hate hugs. I avoid shaking hands unless I absolutely have to in a professional setting. We can fist bump at the end of the day. If you're also Korean, we can do the quick head nod goodbye.
