I believe in love because of the way I love.

Hey Reddit people, I’m just gonna preface this by saying this is a hecking long post! So if you’re a fan of reading… well here you go! Hopefully it’s at least a little bit entertaining reading about me and I don’t bore you to tears.

I posted months ago. And well, that all didn’t work out so well. I’m ready to give it another shot now!

Please be emotionally available, have emotional intelligence, and a be good communicator. These are fundamental traits to have in order to a successful relationship.

Please also be 100% single. If you can’t be decent enough to not cheat on your partner, at least don’t bring in unwilling participants. If you’re unhappy enough to cheat, just leave. Yeesh.

I’m looking for a genuine and possible romantic connection (that could ideally become long term over time) that comes from a place of mutual respect. Attraction is huge for me. I’m not shallow as we all have our flaws, but physical attraction in terms of a romantic relationship is important to me as is sexual chemistry. I will be honest if I don’t feel that way about anyone as I’d hope they would be with me. It’s unfair to not be honest and not allow someone to continue on their search for someone who is attracted to them. It’s not personal, and it doesn’t mean you’re unattractive. Everyone has theirs tastes.

Being intelligent and quick witted are super attractive. I especially love when people know a lot about really niche topics. That paired with almost giddy-like enthusiasm when they share their knowledge with me is so charming. I love learning very much. Someone with a great sense of humour is a big one for me. Being able to laugh at stupid things or yourself is the best. I absolutely love to laugh and reciprocate with stupid jokes. I can have a somewhat dark sense of humour. But I do believe there are things you should never joke about.

What has two butts and kills people? An assassin.

Basic empathy for others, being authentic and having self awareness are all things I can relate to and love in others. Trust is huge for me. If I can’t trust you any farther than I can throw you, you’re absolutely not for me. I’m completely open and honest with all of my feelings all of the time, I expect the same from my partner. If you’re not, I’ll eventually find out. I always do.

Some more about me:
— I have pretty severe ADHD, which affects my entire life and would impact any relationships. I think it makes me a fun and interesting person though. I’ve always got something to do and new knowledge I’ve learned.
— I’m a mom of two. I’m super protective (but not a helicopter parent) and my mother’s intuition is super strong. I see things in people they don’t even know they’re showing.
— I am 1/2 Punjabi 1/2 Scottish/Canadian/White af.
— I have a bunch of tattoos. Some are pretty, some are stupid. I still love them and will for sure be getting more.
— I’m an optimistic nihilist. I’m not religious nor a believer in any sort of heaven. I think life is meaningless and absurd. But I do believe that just because it is doesn’t mean my life has to be meaningless or have no purpose. I get to give it those and enjoy all the little things in life as well.
— I swear a lot. Not like every other word. I don’t think it’s excessive though. But I know some people hate it.
— I’m not big into politics in general but I’m a leftist with zero tolerance for bigotry, racism, misogyny, or anything else that perpetuates hate for stupid reasons.
— I looove deep conversations, or rambling about super niche topics and learning from others. Small talk doesn’t come as easily for me.
— I’m handy af, self reliant and resourceful. I’m pretty good at repurposing things and figuring out inexpensive yet effective and creative ideas to most obstacles in my life.
— I love reading. I’m currently reading 4 books. One of my all time fave books is Red Dwarf.
— Big lover of plants. At one point I had over 50 houseplants. I now have 19.
— I love gardening and homesteading. Owning chickens someday would be cool!
— I really enjoy cooking and baking. My signature recipes are chewy ginger cookies, cheesecake, and orange olive oil cake with Swiss meringue buttercream icing.
— I’ve owned two businesses in the past. A custom cake one and a spa. The latter closed due to Covid.
— I looove art and I paint, draw, sew and alter clothing, and do various other crafty stuff.
— I have a dog(Bailey) and a cat(Alfred) Would love a pet snake at some point.
— I love hiking, camping, swimming, and most outdoor activities. My kids and I went spelunking last summer. So fun! I’m super into winter, but I’ll still rip down hills on a sled with my kiddos. I got them GT snow racers this year!
— I live in a city right now but would love to live in the country surrounded by nature. One day…

I’m huge music lover and especially love Black/Death/Prog/Stoner/Doom Metal, electronic, synthwave, classical, indie, and funk. I’ve been to 50 concerts/shows with some truly unforgettable experiences. I’ve got two tickets to The Dillinger Escape Plan in NYC in June…no idea how I’m getting there or who’ll be my date lol…maybe you? ;P One of my love languages is making playlists so if you’re a lover of music too then we’ll get along great. I admittedly rarely watch tv. I get way too distracted and bored by myself. And if I am I’m usually doing something like drawing or painting while watching.
