Who Am I? I am a NZ male of a certain age that has a strong relationship with the ocean, I am either on it in my yacht, Kayak, Sup, or surfboard, or under it while free diving and spearfishing. I read (voraciously) , cook (well, ex-chef), like going out but also like staying in and watching a movie, I enjoy wood working and building things and both love and loath home renovations, I love the planning and design and the building but hate the finishing and the painting. What am I looking for? I am looking for smarts, I love intelligent conversation, sarcasm, and debate, I also love science so if you are anti-vaxxer or the like, then you fail both tests of science and intelligence and we won’t be friends. I would love to have some new friends to pursue my outdoor passions with, all my old friends have either left town or plead old age. I, on the other hand, see the inevitable creeping of old age as a challenge and in the words of Dylan Thomas “Rage, Rage at the dying of the light”, so instead of slowing down on the physical am seeking more and more of it to thumb my nose at decrepitude.
