Hi. I'm a 61 year old, single, nerdy, retired, financially independent black woman. I'm home after a July surgery that has a roughly 8-12 week recovery period. To stay positive and upbeat, I've started planning outings for myself, once I'm all better (hopefully by September).
While I'm comfortable on my own, after being home so long, I think it would be fun to make a friend who could join me. Here are some things I plan on doing:
-walks by the water at National Harbor -visiting local gaming stores in DC and MD -going to a pinball lounge in MD -going to local hardware, thrift, and craft stores for cosplay prop and costume supplies -visiting the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria -doing an escape room -going to medieval times -checking out the food at sandwich shops, bistros, pubs or carry outs I've never been to before -day trips (haven't decided where yet) -whatever nerdy things I think of in the future
If you're a kind hearted, single gentleman and what I've written piques your interest, feel free to message me directly. And know that if we get along, I'd be open to pursuing activities that you like as well.
TL;DR Here's more about me, if you're truly interested.
I'm friendly, nurturing, and a bit on the introverted side. I typically prefer low key outings with one person (or a very small group) over large crowded venues. When it comes to one on one interactions with someone I know well, however, then I'm more extroverted in that I communicate openly and directly. I'm actually chatty if a person or topic captures my attention.
My health situation is genetic and impacts my immune system so I'm fully vaxxed, boosted and wear a mask in public indoor settings. I would need my companion to be vaxxed, boosted and willing to mask in indoor crowded spaces too.
