Hello! I’m originally from the Midwest but moved last week quite speedily to Walla Walla for work. I’m pretty open to anything and anyone, as the internet is such a vast and cool place; but regional and local tour guides/friends/whatever else would be more than welcome. I am definitely open to any kind of development between the platonic and holyshitifoundtheloveofmylife scale, because the world is my oyster, the future is bright, and I’m in a new place with endless possibilities. I’m going to detail a bit of my life and personal tastes, but wanted to get what I was looking for out of the way up top.

Me: 5’11, naturally tanned, black haired (no salt and pepper…yet) baby faced (although mildly well bearded) college professor-type here. I’m a teddy bear of a dude, for sure, but that has weirdly always been a bit of a favorable dynamic for me, thick thighs and big hands and stuff, etc. I have a killer sense of humor, a deep voice, and I feel like empathy is my super power. I’m also pretty fiercely leftist. I haven’t really figured out what my PNW-angled hobbies are like, since the move was so recent, and it’s a month or so into the school year, but hiking (exploring nature in general) is absolutely one of my interests. Beyond that I really love pop culture, writing, and playing video games. I really need to get better at reading, to be honest. Also, I’m a huge foodie, but by all means, I also am very accommodating to dietary restrictions, different food choices, etc., you kind of have to be in my field of work. Last year I started getting into theatre (on and off stage) and that has been a fulfilling old(er) dog, new tricks concept.

Some things that are evergreen or currently present in my life:

Movies: LOTR, The MCU, Star Wars. Horror. Barbarian, The Black Phone, and Smile have all really wowed me this year. I am VERY excited for spooky szn to continue to deliver hits. Jojo Rabbit is a top 5 movie for me, It’s a Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas film, and rom coms also super appeal to me. Honestly Hollywood would love me because I like 95% of the content I watch.

TV: I’ve been absolutely LOVING Rings of Power. She Hulk is super fun. Ted Lasso and Reservation Dogs have my heart. House of the Dragon is a return to form. Big fan of Sorkin. Big fan of anything coming of age. The OC still is my jam.

Music: I promise I am keeping pretty realistic hype levels for Midnights. The Wonder Years’ The Hum Goes on Forever really helps with that. Pop and pop punk in general are genres I am really into. Honestly though, musicals, metal, and classic rock are also vibes. And a lot of rap. Honestly if it sounds good or tells a good story, or if it’s like sensual (ask me about a certain Spotify playlist of mine), I’m gonna dig it.

Video Games: Words cannot describe how hyped I am for Fire Emblem Engage. That franchise is right up there with Resident Evil as a favorite of mine. I also am into pretty much anything Xbox-related, Soulsbourne games, and God of War. It would mean a lot to get a gaming partner out of this.
