Though when you live in New Zealand, everywhere that isn’t here is just expensively far.

I‘ve been participating in a 5K “fun” “run” where I dry heave and cough up a lung trying to keep up with literal 60 year olds. It’s a humbling experience – those guys are inspirational as heck. I’m either getting a head start on my new year’s resolutions, or I’m very late.

For this Show and Tell session, I present my mostly-dead peace lily from my last post. I refuse to give up on it for as long as it’s got green on it. If it can still hold on, then so can I. We’re still at 5 viable leaves, the name of this piece of Triumph over Adversity.

I think you can tell a lot about someone by the way they dress. I’m gearing up to swap out the winter wardrobe and reunite with my T-shirts with the speed holes, they make me go faster. I often wear dresses to work so I don’t have to make an extra decision about what to wear for the top/bottom part. What is the worst fashion faux pas? What’s important to you when deciding what to wear?

I’d like to get a buzz cut, but it’s the only hairstyle people will ask questions about if you’ve previously had hair. If I were a true utilitarian, I’d do this in the summertime while wearing my socks with the crocs (with the crocs!) and fanny pack.

I’m looking forward Season 4 of ‘You’ coming out on Netflix. I’m waiting for that piss jar Joe left behind to show up again, it’s Chekhov’s gun.

Again, I’m not looking for anything in particular. I have no expectations for timely responses or anything like that, just drop in and out whenever you feel like.

I’m interested in platonic conversations, be it a one-off exchange that may or may not involve funny pictures, to one that evolves over time and we become Statler and Waldorf-level friends outrunning unfit 30 year olds, and anything in between.
