Just got home from work. Not sure if I accomplished the right things. I saved someone from being fired by assigning them to my shift. The other supervisors happily let me have the person. I needed the schedule holes filled, the person needed a last chance.
A colleague who annoys the crap out of me announces their retirement. On one hand, thank goodness. On the other, I feel bad for them because they were having bad reviews and they are leaving to care for family.
Spent a lot of time with my new supervisor. Hopefully they arenโt too shocked by how I run my shift. I believe in results and folks being able to choose how best to accomplish things within reason.
Anyways, up for a bit winding down.
