The last few days have felt like a reckoning months in the making. I got fired from my job on Thursday, a culmination of situations I tried to warn my administration about, my naive desire to protect students, and just bad…cursed…luck. I’m starting to interview with other places, and after a weekend of self care (Bodies Bodies Bodies and pizza), I’m looking at my next steps. If you’re in the education field and want to vent about feeling unprotected by your administration, I would love that.
Or we can swap other stories. I can tell you about my writing. You can tell me about yours. Or whatever interests you might have. I just have always loved the conversations I’ve found on Reddit, and with such a dramatic life alteration, I figured I’d be transparent.
Beyond the work-crisis, I’ve almost finished Elden Ring, and I need to get back to Fire Emblem: Three Hopes. And after that I’ll probably start Saints Row. And maybe I’ll get back to streaming?
TV-wise House of the Dragon has hooked me back in, despite THAT scene being completely unnecessary. I also finished Conversations with Friends (mainly for Joe Alwyn, lmao), and am catching up on Reservation Dogs.
I’m not sure what the next movie I’ll see in theatres is, but I’m a huge horror buff.
Music-wise I’m incredibly excited for the new The Wonder Years album. Low Tide has felt way too fucking real lately.
Here’s, for once, a new selfie, haha! Send me yours?
