Reclaiming my time. Fresh out of years of hibernation due to body image issues, what I'm looking for are interesting connections.

Let's talk about your dreams, what you truly believe in. Your secret passions. The stuff you're too afraid to tell your friends for fear of being judged. (except if you're dds.. Then you should be judged lol) . Or try something you've been meaning to try for the longest time but haven't had the chance to. I am an extremely fast learner so any activity would probably work for me.

Me: 32, pre op trans, still fat, 5'8 Interests: art, music, design, history, politics and other social sciences, etc etc etc.. I am an information sponge.. I genuinely enjoy learning and absorbing knowledge and ideas. I'm also a very firm believer everything however disparate is connected by a common thread. And Im always on the lookout for fresh perspectives I can apply in my current life.

Activities: lately I've been working out a lot. Like 5 to 6x a week. I do a mixed bag of Crossfit, HIT, lifting etc etc etc. Lol I can get really into things when I'm having fun and feeling competitive. That's how I shed the insecurity both literally and figuratively. Long ass way to go of undoing healthy habits over the years but I do feel like this time is different.

On most days its work, gym, bahay with the occasional palengke and grocery run lol

I do like to explore more esp local sights and sounds.. I do feel like I've missed out on a lot hiding from the world. Id like to say I enjoy netflix and reading but haven't had much time for anything other than well, work life. I do if I have time enjoy reading op eds usually from publications like the Atlantic.
Before when I was more of a bum, I sat through Tolstoy's War And Peace lol which I think is pretty relevant today. The book that I have yet to finish after all these years is Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. I generally gravitate towards classics, creative literature, world literature, op eds. I lean towards good writing more than anything- the whole artistry of stringing words together to articulate thoughts and situations mere mortals wish they knew they could. Give me good writing even it is just a cookbook and I'll be down.

You: for friends and casual midnight conversations, simply be able to carry a convo. There will be challenges since I don't like answering basic questions like what I do for a living. But it forces us to be creative in what we can talk about. I purposely shirk away from the mundane because work shouldn't define who we are. And reddit is the perfect avenue to figure ourselves more. I value intelligence more than anything.I dont care which uni you came from. I dont think that defines intelligence. I just need you to be insightful and fun to talk to. As I've said countless of iterations, I am actively looking to expand my knowledge set. Lol. Althoughhh if you can help a dummy like me figure crypto and nfts out so I can make money out of it. That would be perf!

For something more intimate: I'm bossy. I like telling people what to do. I also like being in control. Lol
