Let's get to the meat of it! I never really know if I'm overselling myself, or undervaluing my quirks and features...lol

Intentions first. I'm poly, and single at the moment. I'd like to date people eventually, but let's take it kinda slow. I don't know many people in Vic yet, so I'm pretty much my own bubble, except the very few people I come into contact with at work.

Physically, I'm a 48 year old guy, 5'9" (and some change!), and working on getting back under the 200lb mark. Red/silver hair, more freckles than most, blue eyes and a laugh that pops out easy and loud. Solo poly at the moment.

I'm relatively successful, and have all the adult accoutrements that comes with that. Job, car, some disposable income, and I've recently added a portable dishwasher to the list! There's no way that 20-something me would've thought I'd be as excited about that appliance as I am. Also, I try to keep a decently stocked bar, and making cocktails is a great way to spend an evening with others.

Having moved to Victoria in November of 2020 for work (brilliant move, right in the middle of a pandemic!), I've been mostly confined to home, the grocery store, a few solo hikes, and the odd outdoor adventure with others. I'm hoping to find my group of people, and I'm open to doing that here.

I've got a grown daughter who lives on the mainland, so I'm an empty nester. I'd prefer to socialize with others who don't have kids...that's a part of my life that's well in the past. No offense to those who do, just a personal preference.

I'm a gadget hound, so you're going to find me messing around with home lighting and automation on occasion, as well as a bit of PC gaming here and there. I'd usually rather be doing stuff with real life human beans though.

I live alone in an apartment that I've tried to make as cozy as possible, but it still seems a little too big for me. I'm wary to fill it up with too much stuff, as I have this long-term goal of one day living on a 40-45ft powerboat.

Entertainment-wise, I love musicals, sci-fi movies and shows, all things Marvel and a few DC, and I've been known to binge a little too much if they're available to watch right away. Silly things like darts, bowling, go-karts, and I've been wanting to try axe throwing for the first time.

Relatively straight, in that I'm attracted to femininity rather than genitals.

I love a good road trip, pick something that I haven't seen and head off to explore, or find a place to launch my little drone and take some pictures. Speaking of trips, psychedelics? Yes please!

I know that some folks say that ambiversion isn't really a thing, but while I need a good bit of socialization, I also crave some quiet time to recharge afterwards.
