I was trained as a Classical Ballet dancer. I took my first degree in Classics (Greek and Latin), my second in Mathematics, and my third in Chemistry. I am literate in 7 languages, and usually spend my summers keeping myself reasonably literate in one of them. This summer it was French. Despite my classical background, I am very much a modernist. You will find artist, humanist, mathematician, and scientist. Mostly you'll find me refreshingly, disarmingly, and irrepressibly human.

I've chosen the things I have chosen for absolutely no other reason than I thought they were beautiful.

You are content, self-content, and would rather whisper than shout it. You are kind, compassionate, warm, consistent. You have a playful spirit, an easy smile, and a healthy disregard for the more prescribed trappings of maturity. You are calm, and you engender calm. A brief aside regarding age: I do understand that that there are younger women who prefer to date older men. If this is you, that is fine, I am happy to talk to you -- I never unequivocally exclude. The above is a preference, because I absolutely love women in my own age group. But I am certainly aware that in matters of the heart, one can never prescribe....

I truly enjoy, and crave, the company and inspiration of highly intelligent, polished, well-educated, sensitive, aware, three-dimensional, calm, mature, thoughtful, open-minded and creative women. When I am genuinely inspired, I am at my best; and when I am at my best, I can promise a love that will give us wings on the good days, sustain us on the bad days, and generally content us on the days in between. This is not hyperbole. I have no will anymore to share anything less than my best -- it is soul-crushing.
