I'm a relatively straightforward guy with complex identities looking for someone who might be able to relate, or is at least interested in understanding.

My identities occupy multiple gray areas: I am a white-passing mixed race person and a straight-passing queer (bi) person. I spent many years trying to figure out where I fit in, and who my people are, and I'm grateful to say that--in my third decade of life--most of this has become clear. I am spiritual (grew up with Buddhism and Judaism) and carnal; easygoing and intense; calm and passionate; cerebral and sophomoric. We all contain multitudes; I suppose I would just say that occupying "in-between" spaces just feels very central to who I am.

Here are some more practical details: I'm 5'7", 145 lbs, muscular, black-haired, brown-eyed and fair-skinned. I have five tattoos, groomed stubble, and a handsome face that I will show you after we start talking. I work in community behavioral health as well as end-of-life care. I love to run, garden, surf, sit by creeks, read, watch weird movies, hang out with animals, and cook (pizza and Thai food, especially). Smoking weed on Fridays and Saturdays is my twice-weekly treat. Fungi are fun too, although I do them infrequently. I lift weights, but I have never used the word "gains" non-ironically.

I'm looking for a committed relationship, and I'd like to at least start off monogamously. Perhaps, if our relationship endures, we can explore exploring other people (doing that together is my preference), but that seems like more of an fun accoutrement to the two-person relationship I'm looking for, rather than a precondition of having a future together. I lean towards wanting kids one day. I definitely want pets.
