So I've been slowing down somewhat on my attempt to find friendship through reddit. Partially due to regularly getting ghosted, doing the ghosting myself (due to the conversation going nowhere....I'm not proud of doing it) and perhaps a bit oddly due to a long term friendship that failed around 6 months ago (yeah i should just get over it...but it was a very close friendship that just went poof in a single day).

Bit of a negative start there so lets get back to the usual intro/what I'm looking for...

I'm 42, from the UK and definitely on the nerdy side....so anime, games, fantasy books, Marvel (and a spot of DC) everything that implies....and yet I'm not so heavily into any of those that leaves me as the type to correct someones belief on specific Iron Man lore...I'm casual about all of it. Star Wars vs Star Trek? Well i prefer Trek...but I'll happily watch Wars and don't even mind Jar-Jar Binks!

Oh I also do Cross Stitch as a hobby and with the resurrection of an old RP site i used to write in i may get back into writing too.....but not sure on the latter.

I do have a partner and a family. I don't talk about my kids much unless prompted (as much as i do love them!), but just giving fair warning to those looking for more than just friendship.

Okay, next bit. Who am i looking for?

Well actually all you need is to be chatty, we dont even necessary need to share any interests (although clearly that helps). Just be willing to share yourself via the medium of words, eager to chat about anything and everything and not necessarily wait for me to say stuff.

I give as good as i get, but equally if i get little back from what i say then that is often why i end up doing the ghosting :(

As a final caveat if you are an M looking at this post and still think we might be able to connect, then I'm happy to chat, i put F as typically conversations last longer than the majority of Ms I have spoken to.
