Hello there, r4r community! I’m looking for some help with sticking to my habit and having someone to watch form with while exercising. My social anxiety is moderately an issue for me, so it’s harder for me to just walk up to someone in the gym and chat them up.
I got a 24 Hour Fitness gym membership for a year and want to make good use of it, but all my local friends either don’t have and can’t afford membership, or they are members at another gym. Funnily enough, I’ve gained 24 lbs since I was in shape. It would be super rad to find someone with similar goals, even if it’s a stretch.
It’s hard for me to accurately check those things sometimes, and I’d really appreciate the extra help of having a friend to spot me. I’ll do the same, that’s a given - will even share my workout plan, even with alteration and customization/planning tailored for you. That will probably take some time, lol. Please bear in mind I’m in pretty meh shape for now, though I fully intend to change that as soon as possible. Making a commitment to someone else will help me to actually stick to my goals, and it will benefit the both of us.
I live and work in the South Bay around Sunnyvale; though I can drive, I would prefer if you were nearby. Please PM me if you’re interested, I would really appreciate it so much!
