So, I'm tall. Like, really tall. 6 foot 9. That is typically taller than a door frame in most houses. I know that, because I'll hit my head once per week. The world really isn't build for me, but that makes it a bit more interesting.
I like to travel. Other than living in New Zealand for about 8 months, and Ireland for about 6 months, I've spent a week in Cuba and just returned from 3 weeks in Europe, where I spent most of my time in Germany. I enjoy traveling around the country when I get the chance, but I'll say I'm not much of a camper or outdoorsman.
For most of my Adult life I was a bartender, its what allowed me to travel and see the world. I enjoy it, and I'm good at it. But a few years ago I made a change. I was asked to host a pub trivia night, and after a few months of hosting, I started writing trivia. For the last few years I've been happy to work with bars across Canada running and hosting trivia nights of different themes. I have a partner that I work with, and we're currently in 5 different provinces across Canada, working on expanding and going all the way.
As someone that is introverted, I do enjoy my time alone. Hosting trivia to groups of 50-150 people can take up a lot of my extroversion, so I prefer 1 on 1 time as opposed to group activities.
People tell me I've got a good sense of humor. I sometimes make different projects that get more attention than I expect, but it's all in good fun.
While I don't particularly have a 'type' I do prefer people that aren't extremists. By that, I mean I prefer people that are open to changing their viewpoints about things. I'm cool with someone that is a vegan, but I prefer someone that isn't militant in their beliefs, so that could really apply to anything.
I'm pro vaccine, pro choice, pro equality, and a bit of a procrastinator.
My last relationship ended because I frankly just do not want children, and she decided she did. While I'm not necessarily looking to jump into a long term relationship, I think that that sticking point is an important one for anything that is going to last, but if we're just talking about a casual date - I've dated women with kids before. Age isn't as important, I've dated both older and younger women (maturity is nice though), tattoos are always a plus, and preferably non smokers.
I'm fairly open to answering any questions asked, so if you're interested - lets chat.
EDIT: I've gotten a lot of responses which is fantastic! But if I wasn't clear above, I'd be looking for someone to actually meet. Maybe you are planning on one day coming to Canada, which is cool - I'll happily show you around! But I'm ultimately not looking for internet friends. I know, internet friends are real friends! But I have friends all over the world that I already connect with online. It's pretty cool that I've been contacted by people from 5 other countries already, as well as 3000km away in my own country.
Again, I appreciate those reaching out to me, and have no problem taking some time online before meeting up, but I'm looking to eventually meet up with someone if we connect.
Cheers
