I guess the main idea here is hopeful skepticism. Skeptical hope? Something like that.
All of us are having issues connecting with people that could be actual friends and not just a random conversation here and there, right? It’s never come easy to me, and I haven’t had great luck here historically, but where else are the introverted millennials meeting people these days?
I guess I can be a little buttoned up unless that ~thing~ happens and there’s some click that makes it comfortable. I try, but that’s a hard hill to climb sometimes.
What should I say about me? I live a fairly routine and probably boring life. Came to Texas to take care of my dad after his heart surgery. I work an office job but from home, spreadsheets and emails all day long.
I’m a songwriter, it’s one of my lifelines. I’m no real musician or performer, but making the thing is the part that I love. Music in general. It’s a language.
Animal lover, cannabis enthusiast, very left leaning. I am married, I don’t care about your relationship status as long as there isn’t someone that’s going to start harassing me about you when I’m just trying to make a friend.
If any of this resonates, say hi! And be ready to move off Reddit, preferably discord or telegram.
