I'm here in search of deep and meaningful conversations, hoping to connect with someone around my age, preferably located in Europe. Bonus points if you're Moroccan! To give you some background, I’ve made one good friend here on Reddit before, and it’s been a beautiful experience. I’d love to try my luck again.

A little about me:

I’m 31, living in a small town between Toledo and Madrid, Spain. Before this, I lived in Belgium, studying social work until I had to pause that journey due to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Life has thrown its share of challenges my way, particularly depression, which made me isolate myself. But I’m now breaking free from that cage and working hard to rebuild my social circle and my life.

I’m taking baby steps and proud of the progress I’ve made so far. Mental health struggles may have stolen part of my youth, but I’m determined to take it back.

I’m multilingual (English, French, Arabic, and some Spanish—I understand it better than I write it). I plan to continue studying once I’ve mastered Spanish.

What am I looking for? I’m not here for short-lived, explosive stories or meaningless connections. I’m hoping for something lasting and genuine. A simple “Hey” could be the start of something special, and while friendship is great, I do hope to eventually settle down.

TV shows: I’m a binge-watcher—recently finished From, Silo, and Game of Thrones (finally).

Music: It’s a big part of my life. I’ve gone from being a metalhead to loving classic rock, jazz, blues, and world music. Lately, I’ve been hooked on Moroccan rap for its nostalgic vibes and the way it resonates with me.
