Here in the city everyone’s too busy coding the next big thing than to actually touch another human being. Technology has made us more and more connected yet at the same time more and more distant. So why not use technology to bridge the gap? Let’s fill that void with some good old fashioned human contact. Let’s participate in the intrinsic human need of holding someone while watching mediocre Netflix shows. We all need some touch, to touch and be touched, beyond the black mirrors of our screens.
Leo Buscaglia said, "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." I'd love to feel someone's touch to turn my life around, to melt away the stress and the cold starkness of work. Don't we all want to have someone there for us? I'm tall and thin so I can give warm lanky hugs, hugs that remind you and I that we exist, that we are here and that we are cared for.
