I'm missing the intimacy of a relationship but am not ready for one and am committed to not even trying until 2025. Therefore, r4r has become my weird surrogate in the meantime. What am I looking for? Primarily lighthearted conversation (nothing too heavy)--someone to talk to, ideally laugh with, share common interests, passions, etc. It's just nice having people to talk to and I don't have too many in my life so I tend to resort online. It's important you have zero expectations of anything long term or serious, but I'm open to seeing where things go (with the 2025 caveat)--if that's not your thing, I get it but hope I'm being clear. A little about me: I'm pretty passionate about my work (in education) but am overwhelmed by my new role I started recently and moved for (from one part of Northern VA to another) in the summer, so lots of transition I've mostly settled into. I'm really into music and have been going to more concerts lately, including one on Friday I still have a slight buzzing in my ears from and have admittedly spent most of the weekend in bed since. I spend a LOT of time in bed, which I don't love but have zero energy lately and is likely mental health/possibly med-related I'm sort of working on addressing (it's exhausting). I also enjoy movies, TV not so much but have gotten into a few mostly mini-series (plus SNL), and have gone through phases of playing soccer (I'm still kind of playing), biking, roller blading, live theater, long walks, etc. Lately it's mostly working and bedrot, which I'm not proud of but hoping to shake soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to keep me company and think we'd connect please share your age/sex/location (only if you're around my age like 30-40ish) and a little about you (taste in music/pet pics/whatever); pics are optional but can be helpful off the bat and I can reciprocate, although have crippling anxiety and insecurity so nothing super recent but I think I generally look the same.
