I'm looking for a genuine connection. Which I realise is possibly a very silly thing to search for in these parts. But, hey, you've learned the first thing about me - I'm wildly optimistic!
I'm a writer and a professor; I'm English, creative, intelligent, vaguely witty, and kinda charming. I'm 1m80, 80kg, dark curly hair, a short salt-and-pepper beard, very blue eyes, and a nice voice (or so I've been told).
I like to write in a diverse range of genres - SF, fantasy, horror, thrillers, and stuff that throws all of those into a blender. Interests include playing guitar, movies, music, and an eclectic range of minor interests that I am occasionally distracted by....
In an ideal world I'm looking for conversation, inspiration, cinema trips, late night phone calls, bedtime stories, and maybe the occasional hug. A muse, maybe. A friend, definitely. More than that? I'm open to possibilities..
If you've not been utterly put off by the above (and you're 18 ), then feel free to get in touch. Obviously, I'm primarily looking for someone from the Netherlands but, should you happen to hail from somewhere else around the world and want to get in touch then do feel free (although the distance may preclude both cinema trips and hugs!).
I'm something of an optimist but I can't imagine I'll receive a huge number of responses. I will definitely reply to all that I get though...
