I find that putting thought and care into text-based communications, and knowing that someone smart who cares is out there waiting to read my words with alacrity, makes me feel more connected to life and gives more weight to my existence. I don't really visualize us ever meeting (but never say never, one supposes), but I'm hopeful that a good friendship between us will develop over time.
