Hi! I'm Tommy, 28 y/o from the UK. I'm a full time teaching assistant in one of the worst behaved schools in the county, and... there's not much else going on with me atm. I'm hoping to change that with this ad.

My main goal is to meet people realtively close by who can fulfill my love and belonging needs (in the Mazlow hierarchy sense), whether that's a bestie or a partner or anything in between. I've had no luck with dating apps, nor with trying to integrate into well-established meetup groups, but I've had some great success on Reddit before that I hope to repeat here. Historically I tend to get along better with women and feel more comfortable around them, but I'm willing to be open with men too if it seems like we have some common ground.

I have a loud inner critic and am not great at talking myself up but, helpfully, my therapist recently suggested that I make a list of things that people compliment me for. So far that list includes: kind, gentle, entertianing, dry/sarcastic sense of humor, always looks out for others, beautiful blue eyes, resilient, loyal friend, tries new things, emotionally open, makes people feel safe, excellent conversationalist.

In my spare time I like going to the pub, keeping caught up with the friends I do have, writing the occasional poem, drawing the occasional picture, and neglecting my video game/TV backlogs to play/watch my comfort games/shows for the umpteenth time. Like it says though, I'm easily swayed into trying new things by people close to me.

I'll say this for me: if I hit it off with someone, and they're able to make me feel loved and needed, I'll put everything I have into reciprocating with devoted care and support and sweet gestures.
