Pretty much like the title says.
I'm not looking for a hookup, but rather someone to get to know. Between the double-whammy of working from home doing and being an introvert, I don't really encounter new people. Romance might happen, it might not, whatever, right now I'm just missing basic female companionship.
So I guess I'm making this post to invite you to come watch a show with me in the near future. This of course implies that you must be near enough to do so.
I'm white, wear glasses, have long brown hair, and am a little chubby. I'm certainly not overwhelmingly attractive, but I don't think I'm hideous... though the number of women who have ghosted me after swapping pics seems to imply otherwise. I would call myself decidedly average looking.
As for you, just be a person I can get along with. Talk to me, confide in me, maybe cuddle with me while we chill together. I don't want anything from you except your time and attention.
Bonus points if any of the below hobby stuff applies to you, but none of it is a deal breaker.
I'm mostly into metal music. Styx, Iced Earth, Lacuna Coil, Slayer, and so on. My taste is pretty eclectic though, so there's a smattering of random songs I like from pretty much every genre. I LOVE being shown new songs by people I know. Entertwined playlists -some of your songs plus some of mine- are awesome!
Other hobbies include checking out new shows, playing a fair amount of video games, and working on personal programming projects. You know, stuff for boring people. As with music, my tastes are kinda all over the place. For example, I just started Sandman and am looking forward to the new season of From that starts dropping next week, but I also enjoy more grounded shows like Bridgerton, Boardwalk Empire, You, and Monster. Like that last one indicates, anime is definitely on the table too, so long as it has a good story. For video games I tend toward RPGs (or platformers with RPG elements) but also will play mostly anything with a friend. I'm currently making my way through Nine Sols... which is a platformer with RPG elements, lol. I also incidentally like Magic: the Gathering, which I would happily teach you.
On the more active side of things I occasionally pop over to wander around a museum or take a stroll around the Washington monument. Hikes can be fun, too.
As you can tell, I'm not a classicly manly dude, but I care deeply while having a fierce protective throughline which together translates into unmatched loyalty.
If you've read all this, and are LOCAL, then please send a DM with the show or movie you'd like me to get for us to watch. Looking forward to hearing from you!
