A little about me, the how and the why-

(not a dating group, they wouldn't let me post this in Portland sub reddit probably my formattiing, I mean if you meet someone great but wasn't the intent)

East coast transplant early 50's single/divorced, successful, no kids, very active open minded, well rounded professional, missing the friend group I had before moving to Portland. I have cultivated a handful of friends over the years, but not to the level I had on the east coast. Also some have moved, had life changes etc. All the things that happen as life evolves. I love Portland/PNW and all the great things it has to offer and have explored more than my share of it, some with others, some alone and some with partners at the time.

It is not always easy to build friend groups at this age and frequently see posts in /askPortland about such things, circumstances in life have freed up allowing more time allowing me to focus on this in a dedicated way.

So if you are between the ages of 35-60, and wish to expand your circle of friends let me know. The age limits aren't set in stone by any means, just a guide. I am looking to form a group who enjoys wine, food, spirits, travel, art, coastal and mountain get aways, themed dinners, parties, cultural events, game night, conversation around the fire, classes, happy hours etc. You can be married, poly, open, single, locals or transplants, have kids or child free. I do have a soft spot for helping transplants as I was one myself. The most important thing is that you are friendly, kind, smart and have a desire to expand your circle, have availability and time and want to meet new and interesting people.

This is not a commercial venture, I will probably host many of these things at my house to start. So reach out, tell me a bit about yourself and let's meet for a drink or coffee. Low effort replies are not what I am looking for and will probably be deleted. I can't wait to hear from you and have a safe wonderful holiday. Please understand I am just trying to put myself out there and give a place for others to do the same.
