I'm not really expecting to get any responses to this, but I figured I might as well try because I'd be happy if it did work out. And by "talk closely" I think I mean what most people would call flirting; things like compliments etc (to be honest I don't really know how flirting works. The only friend I've ever flirted with we ended up essentially dating without calling it as much, which I assume isn't the norm). Because of that, I suppose you'll have to tell me exactly how we'd be talking, or just lead by example and I'll follow whatever you do. But I also want to emphasize the friend part. I want a friend with whom I can talk closely with, not just someone who I flirt with.

Anyway, I suppose I should say some information about myself. I'm not very good at this though, seeing as I don't usually know what information to include, so if you're intrigued by this post but want to know something about me that I don't include, please just ask. Anyway, visually I'm... I think 6'1 and have reddish hair. I'm horrible at explaining people visually even within my own stories but I'm okay exchanging pictures if that's what you'd like lol. I'm 18 and I live on the West Coast of the US (I don't feel like getting more specific until I trust you). Scarily soon I'm going to be leaving for college, which I'm quite nervous for, and I'm most likely going to pursue a literature major, seeing as I want to be an author. I really like writing, though unfortunately don't do it nearly enough, but do plan to get more on top of it. I also like playing video games, mostly the fromsoftware games, so if that's something you're interested in too it could be something we have in common. I'm asexual and thus labeling this post as SFW only, but I suppose if I really get to trusting someone I wouldn't be against experimenting if that's something that they want. But it won't be a priority for me at all. I also consider myself mostly aromantic (though I have had girlfriends in the past. It's complicated) so I'm not looking for a relationship or anything; just a friend/friends that I can be closer with.

As for who I'm looking for, I don't have all that many preferences. I would prefer you be closer to my age (i.e. not older than like 21) just so that I feel more comfortable with you. It would also be nice if you're in a similar timzeone to me (I'm PST), but it's not necessarily a requirement or anything.
