Post Body

Hi girls.

Right off the bat I want to say that I'm staunchly anti-misogyny. My sister will vouch for this. Ever since I was a child I was a supporter of women.

With that in mind, something that really irks me is when people say "she looks like a horse". Until I was recently educated on the matter by a female friend, I was unfamiliar with the sometimes-ghastly connotations of the phrase. I have since come to notice that most people use ā€œyou look like a horseā€ not as a term of endearment, but as an insult, which I think is disgusting.Ā

There is no logic to it whatsoever. Horses are beautiful, powerful, athletic creatures with many other excellent features; being compared to one should be a compliment. The ones on My Little Pony 4th gen for instance are really good looking.Ā

You wouldnā€™t call someone a unicorn as an insult (in fact, I often see men and couples on here looking for "attractive" unicorns near them). If all that separates a lady you would compliment from one you detest is the presence or absence of a horn, then Iā€™d encourage you to look deep within yourself and engage in some serious introspection (you can also get some extremely cheap yet sturdy wearable horns online).

So now when I hear say to a lady at a club or on a dcord call "you look like a horse", I step in with a "yeah, so what?", which the woman usually appreciates. Like men does it not occur to you that maybe she's tryina look like a horse just cause it's not your taste it's not all about you šŸ˜’ (Sorry for the rant).

Point is: if you look like a horse, in a good way, I wanna hear from you. If you donā€™t look like a horse then thatā€™s fine and Iā€™m not looking to have a go or "convert" you, but just to be up front I probably wouldn't be interested in talking as more than friends (letā€™s not waste each otherā€™s time).
