So I recently posted a personal ad in another subreddit. You can see it through my profile—I haven't taken it down, but I'm pretty sure that I will. The point is, I received a lot of replies, and they all turned sexual really, really fast.
While they left me fulfilled in one way, they made me feel incredibly unfulfilled in another, more fundamental way. I guess it made me sad in a way that's hard to express. All I know is that I want somebody with whom I can have an emotional connection, platonic or not. Someone I can talk to throughout the day without things getting sexual every 15 minutes. Somebody I can care about and for.
As long as you're an adult, I don't care about your age, appearance, or gender. I only care about who you are as a person. I'd really like to hear about something you're passionate about. I love learning about people and their interests.
As for me, I do MMA and I'm learning to play a musical instrument right now. I love hiking and video games. I've also been reading a lot lately, so if you have a book you love, I'd like to hear about it.
