“How’s it going?” … if I hear that from you, I swear, I’m gonna hang-up; that phrase is a gateway to small talk. Let me paint you what comes next,
Me: “It’s going okay”
You: “Oh, okay!”
Me: “How’s the weather?”
You: “It’s kinda getting warmer …”
Me: “Oh, okay!”
You: “Did you hear about Taylor’s new album”
Me: “Not really …”
You: “You should, it’s great …”
Me: “I sure will!”
You: “Oh, okay!”

Nah, I’m not here for half baked conversations. At the same time we don’t need to scuba dive into a deep conversation right away.
We are millennials, the last bastion in a generation that knew what was it like to receive a landline call from a friend upon returning back from school. Texting is so GenZ, well, or at least I like to think it that way, because my thumbs aren’t meant for using keyboard on some screen to hold an unfettered conversation about life, death and everything in-between.
I don’t have any preference. Just be open and curious. And be okay with accents (if any) and okay for me to receive your calls while I’m basking in warm water under a showerhead (I’m kidding!)
So, are you voice chat ready?
Stay easy.
