Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
Whether it leads to brief flashes in the pan, or some new friends outright, I figured why not see where this can go, after quite some time since I last threw my hat into the ring? So...
Big literature dork, mostly fantasy but open to suggestions. Tolkien is obviously the king but David Eddings, Stephen King, Stephen Erikson and Brandon Sanderson are other big names I enjoy. Currently looking for the next book to grab my attention and sacrifice my sleep to finish reading. Got anything for me?
Always on the lookout for gigs. Buzzing that I've managed to get Sleep Token tickets! Catching Blur at Wembley last July was the absolute highlight of my life. I'll add anything to the calendar if it gets me to a gig. Shoot over a few of your favourites?
Poetry and theatre are key interests. My joke is NY resolution is to try and learn some Shakespeare sonnets and monologues by heart. Proud to announce I've managed one and a half so far. My actual NY resolution is to get back into piano once I've saved enough for a decent keyboard!
Would love to discuss favourite poems, short stories, novels. Especially if you're a fan of any I'm not familiar with. A major hobby of mine is reciting poetry and short stories.
Big gamer. Plenty of co-op favourites in the Steam library. Currently getting back into Final Fantasy XIV ready for Dawntrail. Open to creating an alt for non-EU datacentres.
Renewed love of wrestling as of last year's Wrestlemania. Caught AEW's Wembley PPV in-person last August, which was an absolute top 5 moment! 'Course, no expectation of you being a fan too, though I may go on the occasional ramble if given the opportunity.
Optional: Bob Mortimer is your king and spiritual guide. If Bob Mortimer is not your king and spiritual guide, you are willing to be educated in the ways of Bob Mortimer.
No worries on any timezone! My sleep schedule is absolute bobbins, so I'll likely always be around to chat in some form. Ideally move to Discord at some point, but happy to keep it on here too.
And last but not least, to put a face to the rambling. I've been called many things, from Milky Bar Kid, to baby Jonathan Lipnicki, and more recently, Mitchell from Modern Family, but I prefer to think of myself as a charity shop Marc Evan Jackson in training.
See you round!
